Leikin-Collins

Hillsborough Historic District, NC, 2013

Complete renovation of and 400sf contemporary addition to 1910 Arts and Crafts bungalow. Tailored, tightly-skinned addition was intended to strike a quiet contrast with the original house. Since the profile of the addition follows the existing roof and walls but set in 6", the addition is invisible from the street. The interior of the original house was opened up so that the view is intact from the front door to the garden in the rear.
